JKA MASTERS: See Enoeda, Kanazawa, Nito, Tomita as they
demonstrate their particular brand of Shotokan.
Enoeda sensei was known as ‘The Tiger’ of
Shotokan, or ‘Tora’ and was truly a legend.
Watch as he sweeps both legs from his opponent
and then follows up with his devastating punch.
His performance of kata is simply inspiring,
executed in a way that leaves the watcher in no
doubt about the power of Enoeda sensei.
Tanaka sensei is also seen in action at the JKA,
and he is now widely considered to be one of
the last of the ‘hard JKA’ men, following the
untimely death of Enoeda.
SHOTOKAN - RAW POWER. Now then, take a look at Shotokan in its raw and
most aggressive form. This is the real martial art,
the kind of combat that has now disappeared for
ever. The KUGB at its finest, fights that had the
potential to be lethal. Cage fighting might be
hard, but the karate depicted here, is just as savage
and is also clean and absolutely decisive.
