Although I have the original AoW on VHS I recently purchased the new re-edited version, mostly because my VHS tapes were showing some wear. Well everything that has been written about this set of DVD's is correct - there's nothing like it anywhere that I've seen. The new volume 4 shows the latest WKF stuff compared to the old shobu and although Legend make it clear what they think of the WKF fighting, they do ask you to draw your own conclusion. Well I drew mine alright but that's my personal opinion - though I have to write that I sahre Legend's views!
If you can't afford to make the purchase, at least take a look at the clip on YouTube - even though it's short, it leaves you in no doubt about the potency of Shotokan karate.
